What is DivineCaroline?
DivineCaroline is a place where women can connect, express, discover, challenge, learn and, of course, be entertained. It's for people who want to write about their day or their life but it's also for people who want to read real voices. There are Stories here from professional writers, but the majority of our content and the biggest part of who we are comes from Members. Whether it's Stories, Reviews or Forums.
At DivineCaroline, you'll be spending time with women who embrace the fact that life isn't always easy or beautiful or fair. Our dream is to give you a place to come together to express yourselves. What brings you joy. What breaks your heart. Makes you giggle. What pisses you off. Confuses you. Entertains you. What keeps you strong.
Who's Caroline? And what's so Divine about her?
We knew early on that we wanted to use a woman's name. It so happens that one of our founders has a dear friend whose name is Caroline. She's a warm, smart, adventurous woman who you'd like instantly. "Caroline" rhymes with Divine - a word that describes every single woman we know who's working to compose a life. So we went with it. But the site isn't about any "one" woman. It's about every woman and the bonds that connect us even though we've never met.
Is DivineCaroline free?
Yes. Joining, reading, contributing, sharing, and commenting are all absolutely free.
Why should I become a Member?
You can come anytime and read whatever you like without being a Member. But we think you'll get more out of DivineCaroline if you participate. Once you're a Member yes, it's free you can submit a Story, write a Review, share a Comment about another Member's work, forward things to your pals, participate in Forums and keep track of everything in your Studio. Be assured that none of your information will be shared with anyone.
How do I become a Member?
Joining DivineCaroline is simple. We just ask for the basics and you're in. If you're ready you can Register now.
Will my membership ever expire?
Once you're a Member, you're always a Member.
What about men?
Generally speaking, we love them. But we wanted to create a place where women rule and all the things that matter to them could be covered every which way. So, while we won't make a big fuss about them, men are welcome to visit and even contribute. In fact, some men probably won't be able to resist coming and seeing what we're up to.
Do DivineCaroline Members ever meet offline?
As of now, DivineCaroline doesn't organize any meetings, but we do know that some Members who connect on the site also meet in book clubs, for coffee, play dates, and fast walks. Some are even working together on fundraisers.
Do you have to be a Member to read Stories, Reviews or Forums?
Nope. Everyone who visits can read as much as they want. But if you want to submit or comment on - something, you'll need to Register. It only takes a minute.
How can I tell my friends about DivineCaroline?
We make it easy to spread the word. If you're reading something that you think someone else should see, look for the "share" icon (it's a little green envelope). They'll get an email with a preview and a link directly to the piece you forwarded.
How do I contact another DivineCaroline Member?
If you have anything to say about a Member's Story, we strongly encourage you to do that right under the Story in the Comments area. But when you want to make a personal connection with another Member - for example, to invite them to a play date, or tell them when your book club meets - you can use the DivineCaroline Message Center found in My Studio. The search function in Message Center is a great way to find a Member you're looking for.
A Member is harassing or threatening me. What can I do about it?
If a Member has made an inappropriate comment about one of your Stories or one of your Forum posts, you can respond to their comment with your own comment or report their submission as inappropriate. If you prefer, you can reach us through Contact Us.
