I noticed an interesting article on Yahoo in April 2009, written by Duncan Greenberg for Forbes, about strange similarities in America’s top billionaires. Some dropped out of school, some were members of Skull and Bones. Many of them had parents that were mathematically inclined or who owned their own businesses. One of the more interesting similarities listed is the fact that most self-made billionaires were born in the fall than in any other season. It seems that forty-two out of 380 of America’s self-made tycoons who have made the Forbes list of the world’s billionaires in the past three years were born in September. The two most common zodiac signs among billionaires are Virgo and Scorpio.
Virgos are happy when they can make a living doing things that are helpful or useful to other people. They are notoriously shy and modest, hiding their inclined intelligence and diligence. They may become obsessed with the notion of order in their everyday life and anything they touch. Virgos are very analytical, and won’t normally just to a decision before heavily weighing the pros and cons first. Known to be hardworking, determined, and detail-oriented, Virgos are driven more by their desire to pursuit and achieve excellence at whatever they do than by amassing riches, according to astrologer Michael Lutin. The presence of their Earth element helps them to be very grounded individuals with strong determination and a focus on the present.
Scorpios are typically considered the Investigators of the zodiac. They can be quiet, introverted, inwardly emotional, and suspicious of others. On the other side, Scorpios make loyal friends and passionate lovers. While always trying to uncover something that is hidden, Scorpios often conceal their true selves and can be quite difficult to get to know. They tend to seek activities, occupations, and companions that allow them to experience life at it’s deepest levels. Their astonishingly strong will and ego give them an amazing interpersonal magnetism, giving them exceptional skill in sales and persuasion.

So maybe I wasn’t born to be a billionaire, but for now, I’m perfectly happy with my Leo self. Maybe it’s in the stars for you or someone you know. My advice is, if money is of the utmost importance to you in life, marry a Scorpio or Virgo … especially if you’re a Sagittarius.
