Bridal Tour
Kathryn Kalabokes, the founder of Dream A Little Dream Events, has a semi-annual Bridal Tour. A few weeks ago, I was one of the lucky girls to travel around San Francisco and learn about hidden gems that will surely help a bride plan her big day.

We started the tour at Kathryn’s little sanctuary. It’s where she creates brides dreams and makes them come true. Ten girls were on the tour and after introductions we headed to our luxury van. As we made our way to Pres a Vi Restaurant for a lovely three-course brunch you could feel the excitement in the air. Pres a Vi is located right behind the presidio gate on Chestnut and Lyon. Our group sat at the chef’s table, where we had a lovely view into the kitchen. As I ate my delicious eggs benedict, I felt lucky to hear all of the different types of weddings the brides were planning.

After the wonderful champagne brunch we boarded the van and headed to That Takes The Cake, for some designer cupcakes. The smell of frosting made me want to buy every flavor. Lucky for us the founder, Saralynn Reece, gave us little goodie bags with the best red velvet cupcake I have ever tasted.

We then dashed across the street to Nick Brown Photography and Bella Bridesmaid. This duo can be a one-stop shop for amazing photojournalistic wedding photographs and gorgeous bridesmaid dresses. Just being in the shop made me want to be a bridesmaid, even though I’m going to be a bride.

After that we hopped back on the shuttle and went across town to Miza Spa, which is located one block from AT&T Ballpark, and received relaxing manicures. We then drove back up to Pacific Heights with all of us waving our hands in the air to dry our nails. We then hopped out of the van with all of our amazing goodies and went to Shu Uemura for a lesson about putting on fake eyelashes. I was lucky enough to be the girl they demonstrated on; and I’ve got to say, having fake eyelashes makes your eye much heavier.

Our final stop was back at Kathryn’s lovely abode where we had great vendors present more information to us. We were able to have a cake tasting from Cake Coquette (my favorite flavor was hazelnut), got some tips of photography from Andrew Weeks, saw custom wedding invitations from Cardgirl and lastly we were shown how you can create custom out of town baskets for your guest from Woods & Company.

We ended the wonderful day with a glass of champagne. It was a toast to a great event that I would definitely consider going to again and recommend to everyone who lives in the Bay Area.

Just be sure to bring a big purse to fit all of the goodies you get throughout the day!

Thanks to Kathryn and all of the vendors for making the day so special.

Look for Dream A Little Dreams Events upcoming bridal tour that will be announced this March.
