I would have to commit suicide
I would definitely turn to family for help. But I would also take charge myself and clip coupons, buy on sale, shop at the salvation army or goodwill, maybe get a second job, etc.

I have a few sisters and my parents are still chugging along, so I guess I'd be sleeping on a couch or two for a while as I write the next great American novel. Fun times!

Between my biological family and my church family I'm pretty sure we'd make it through a hardship time if needed. However, we've always made sure that we have a "buffer" so to speak in case of emergency or job loss, hopefully the above would never be necessary. We'd trust in God to get us what was needed!
