My husband really puts time and effort into which card he chooses for whatever the occasion. I like to keep them from year to year so I can read them over and over. So imagine my surprise when I received the same card two years in a row! He wrote different inscriptions in each one but I guess he really liked the card!

I got a flower pot filled with pens made into flowers stuck into styrofoam. I keep it in a kitchen cabinet because my sister made it for me, but I have never used any of the pens.

I got a book from my then boyfriend about Project Manager Geeks...Boy was I disappointed! I didn't even read it, and it was over 8 years ago! He should have known I didn't like my job as a project manager.

A rock. Yes, you read that correctly. My mom had a rock which probably weighed about 3 lbs laying out by the mailbox. My brother spotted it one afternoon as we were leaving mom's house and for some reason found it quite interesting. I didn't say a word, but the next time we were at mom's, I slipped it into his car. He got a laugh out of finding it and voved he would get even. That Christmas, I received the rock all wrapped up in box, paper and bow! We traded it back and forth several times and it was always with a laugh and a smile.

I received a tin foil wrapped My Little Pony from my brother for Christmas. The funny thing is that he wrapped one that was already mine.

The most unusual gift I have ever received was a wheel barrel....seriously, yes....it was sad as I don't even have a yard to use it and I live in a tiny Manhattan apartment....it was hysterical! Happy Holidays.

For our first wedding anniversary, my husband gave me a 22 caliber rifle. He had it cut down to fit my smaller size and since he loves to hunt and shoot, he thought I would enjoy it. I don't but both of our boys learned to shoot with it. We've been married 32 years now and he's improved a little with his gift giving.
