New Entry #2
I think I am going to die. Every inch of my body is aching, even my eyelashes are hurting. My legs are ready to fall off because I have yet to have a second to sit down. I wonder if my students would be better listeners if I came into the classroom in a wheelchair? “Hey guys, quit looking up, I am down here now.”
Well, suffice it to say, I made it through my first day in one piece. That is, if you count arriving home with no make-up (it was all worn off from my hands constantly rubbing my face every time a kid asked if they could go to the bathroom). I kept remarking, “Can you?” I had throw up all over my new suit (I guess that child had to go after all) and, my hair looks like I have been standing in the rain for forty days AND forty nights. Now I realize why all the experienced teachers arrived this morning looking like death warmed over in the microwave as they knew not to waste their time trying to look good for school because death (or at least feeling like it) would greet them at 3:00 p.m. anyway.
New Entry #3
I would love to continue to tell you my story one entry at a time as a first year teacher that honestly doesn’t have a clue but YOU let me know if you want to read all about it
