No more pearls, pashminas, picture frames, or tote bags. You’re unique. Your wedding is unique. Your bridesmaids are unique. Maybe it’s time to think outside the box when it comes to your bridesmaid gifts. These are the friends (and that one random cousin) who have showered you with gifts, endured your tortured debate between buttercream and fondant, held back your hair while you prayed to the porcelain god that your bachelorette party was over, and eventually, will walk you down the aisle and stand with you as you start your new life as a “we” instead of a “me.”Whether you have two or twelve, why not give your bridesmaids something that says, “thank you,” rather than, “it’d be really great if you’d wear this with the dress I made you buy”? As a ten-time bridesmaid, I would have loved any one of these gifts. (Not that I didn’t love the ones I got, dear friends who are reading this.) Of course, the best gift I’ve ever gotten was being spared the bouquet toss.
