The Recipe that I’m going to talk about is the Beef Barley Soup. The ingredients that’s in my Beef Barley Soup recipe is: Beef Short Ribs with bones, Water, 1 (14-1/2 oz.) can of diced tomatoes un-drained, onions, salt, pepper, carrots, celery, cabbage, Pearl Barley, and Parsley.
The Steps of how to make this recipe is:
1. In a soup kettle, combine ribs, water, tomatoes, onions, salt, and Pepper.
2. Bring it to a boil over medium heat.
3. Reduce heat.
4. Cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
5. Remove ribs to cool and skim fat.
6. Remove the meat from bones and cut into bite-sized pieces.
7. Return to broth.
8. Add carrots, celery, and cabbage.
9. Reduce heat.
10. Cover and Simmer for 15 minutes.
11. Add Barley and return to a boil.
12. Reduce Heat.
13. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until barley and vegetables are tender.
14. Add Parsley. After I’m done making the Beef Barley Soup, my family and I tried the soup that I made. When we were all done eating the soup, my mom and dad said, “I like your soup that you made Wanda.” I told my mom and dad that I would let my trainee chefs make this recipe at my dream restaurant one day.
